What does it take for someone to earn your trust?

For me it is more- What does it take for me not to trust you.  I am a very trusting person I trust completely  then listen and watch for those little signs that create conflict or are incongruent or confusing .  I always remember love/ truth is never confusing when you are listening with your heart.
 I also like to use the stop sign method :
When in doubt I look to my left which is intuiton,look to the right which is my logic,  then back once again to my intution and proceed or not.
